Typical Week
The times and seasons of the Church year offers a foundation for learning to inculcate the disciplines of prayer, work and recreation in-community. Our interns will be given that regular pattern of communal worship and engagement with our wider community through service to enable them to experience Catholic parochial ministry in all of its dimensions. Interns will be able to develop their interpersonal skills by hosting events, leading a fundraising project and gaining experience of working in a diverse community.
The shape of a typical week would be:

Host a monthly meal
Support university chaplaincy work

Time for discernment & recreation
An important part of the internship is undertaking a dedicated course of study, which we have devised to give interns an opportunity to study, and discuss, a wide range of theological topics, the history of the English Church and practical discernment for those considering a call to the priesthood. Sessions would usually be for an afternoon, and delivered by a range of tutors.
